I created SalkaPet because I couldn't find pet care that aligned with how I was trying to live. As I became more conscious about what I was putting in and around my home — food, skincare, cleaning products — it didn't make sense to ignore what I was using on my dogs.

What does "low-tox living" actually mean?
Low-tox living isn't about perfection — it's about awareness. It means choosing products with fewer synthetic ingredients, fewer fillers, and more transparency. We extend that lens to everything our dogs touch every day: their bath, their paws, their coat, their face.
Why no synthetic fragrance?
"Fragrance" or "parfum" on an ingredient list can hide hundreds of undisclosed chemicals, many of which are common skin irritants and hormone disruptors. Dogs have a sense of smell roughly 10,000 times more sensitive than ours. Anything we put on their skin or coat, they're also breathing in — all day. We leave it out entirely.
Where is SalkaPet made?
Every SalkaPet product is formulated and made in the USA, in small batches, with ingredients we'd feel comfortable using on ourselves. We work directly with our manufacturer and review every batch.
Is this safe for sensitive skin?
Yes — every formula is pH-balanced for canine skin and designed for dogs with allergies or sensitive coats. We avoid sulfates, parabens, dyes, and the cheap surfactants that strip natural oils. Always patch-test if your dog has known reactivity, and consult your vet for medical conditions.
